Many of the ways in which Genghis Khan conducted himself and led his people has relevance to us today:

To inspire loyalty, it is wiser to be forthright and honest rather than lying and manipulative.

People can overcome difficulty and obstacles if there are good reasons for fortitude, struggle and resilience and they know what those reasons are.

Receptiveness, flexibility, creativity, toughness, planning, organisation, resilience, support and and inter-dependence are as important now as they were then. Rarer, though.

People appreciate being allowed to have their own opinions, to voice those opinions and to have those opinions listened to.

Structure is vital, but it must not be so rigid that it stifles individuality, teamwork and initiative.

Real success is measured over decades and centuries not over months and years.

It is not what you believe. Not what you say. What you do is what makes you stand out. Or not.
